Charity night in aid of the GEM appeal and MIND

3rd December 2013

What an amazing night in aid of the GEM appeal and MIND, extremely proud to support Denise & Tim’s event for the 8th Year.

Denise Welsh and Tim Healey hosted the showbiz bash attended by an array of stars from stage and screen

Stars pulled out all the stops with their roaring twenties fashions as they headed to the annual fundraising bash hosted by showbiz favourites Denise Welch and Tim Healy .

Although no longer a couple, actors Denise and Tim remain pals – and continue to host their glitzy event to raise thousands of pounds for charities the Gem Appeal and Mind.

And both got into the swing of their fancy dress “Gatsby Experience” theme – Denise almost unrecognisable in brunette bob wig and her glitzy flapper dress, while Tim rocked the mobster look in white tuxedo and spats.

Kym Marsh arrived in a fabulous vintage silver sparkling full-length gown, but then stripped down to sequinned hotpants bra and tuxedo to belt out All That Jazz from Chicago – backed by 1920s-style dancers.

Her Coronation Street co-stars also went all out, with Samia Ghadie in a dazzling gold flapper dress and headband, Katie McGlynn in black flapper dress, fuschia feather boa and beads, while their former colleague Shobna Gulati dazzled in a glitzy black dress and a sleek bob.

Denise joked: “Now that Tim’s not my husband I’d better let him get a word in edgeways!”

Meanwhile the couple proudly looked on as their youngest son Louis proved he’s set to follow in the Healy showbiz footsteps.

Louis headed onto stage to perform at his parents’ Gatsby Experience ball and won a standing ovation after singing Etta James classic At Last.

The bash, hosted by radio DJs Darren Proctor and Becky Want , also saw performances from retro bands The Overtones.
